I.M. Heart is the heart-shaped character just like you and me who is learning to be aware of and process feelings coming from both love and fear, says McDaniel. In our hearts we hold all kinds of feelings. These include loving, dear, joyful feelings as well as fearful, angry, hateful feelings.
I.M. Heart shares experiences about feelings, and gives you tools and strategies to work through them. By working through them the character means to heal the hurt and angers coming from fears so that we can fully experience the joys that come from love.
The book includes 10 chapters devoted to recognizing feelings; processing them; healing fear, hurts and pains; feeling love and loving yourself; connecting to spirit; and connecting to others with heart.
About the author: Sue McDaniel has a life-long interest in searching for understanding of herself and others. She is a teacher at heart with experience at all levels of education. A love of learning lead to completion of a Ph.D. and the search for understanding led to study of feelings and behaviors. I.M. Heart is her first solo publication.
From 1992 to 1999, she co-authored five basic books and Learning, Changing and Leading: Keys to Success in the 21st Century, with Chet Dixon. This book and the workbooks accompanying it were used as teaching tools in the state of Missouri.
